2022 INFINITI QX60 vs. MDX vs. RX 350
2022 INFINITI QX60 vs. Acura MDX vs. Lexus RX 350
When drivers begin to compare their options for a mid-size SUV in the luxury category, three names appear as the front runners, The INFINITI QX60, the Acura MDX, and the Lexus RX 350. Of course, there are certain givens in this vehicle class, such as added creature comforts and space for passengers, the latest technology, and respectable horsepower. But you need to dig a little deeper to determine which is the best buy for 2022.
The Lexus RX 350 is much like the 2021 model with an angular design and three rows of seating. However, the visually appealing shape results in much less space for the rear seat than is offered by the all-new QX 60. The MDX is much more comparable to the QX60 when it comes to space and capacity of cargo. Drivers looking for supreme function are choosing the QX60 for its 14 plus cubic feet of storage space behind the third-row seating and an impressive 75 plus cubic feet of cargo capacity with both back rows folded down.
The Performance Numbers
The QX60 and RX350 both offer drivers 295 horsepower to the 290 horsepower of the MDX. However, the INFINITI delivers more torque and better fuel economy than either of its competitors. That added power allows the QX60 to offer the best towing capacity at an exciting 6,000 pounds, making it the perfect vehicle for heating out for an extended excursion with water toys or a trailer. One other number that should be seen as significant is the warranty. The basic warranty on the Lexus RX 350 and the Acura MDX is four years or 50,000 miles. The INFINITI QX60 also offers a basic 4-year warranty, but the mileage is increased to 60,000. Finally, the powertrain warranty on all three vehicles is a very standard six years or 70,000 miles.
Premium Safety Features
The new and improved features on the RX 350 focus primarily on aesthetics, while the safety features remain similar to those of past models. The Acura MDX offers a few more safety features, including forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and a blind-spot monitor. The QX60, however, has upgraded the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive System and included the ProPILOT Assist system on this all-new and ultra-safe 2022 model.
And The Winner Is
With a redesign, increased safety technology, and more power, the INFINITI QX60 turns heads and grabs buyers’ attention in the mid-size luxury SUV space. But what is sealing the deal for many is that you can have all of the features, space, and function of this SUV for thousands less than the competition. And you get a better standard warranty on the QX60. INFINITI made some bold changes to the QX60 this year, and buyers are sure to enjoy all of the upgraded standard features at a much more affordable price than the lesser equipped choices.
