2027 Kia Telluride for Sale in Oklahoma City | Bob Moore Kia

When Kia introduced the Telluride back in 2020, it took the market by storm. While initially overshadowed by the supply chain shortages brought on by the pandemic, it didn’t take the Telluride long to establish itself as the best mid-size, three-row SUV on the market. The Telluride immediately earned acclaim from families and critics alike, and in the years since, it’s dominated the market, while retaining a firm grip atop Car and Driver’s best SUVs in the segment. As the Telluride enters 2027, it enters a new generation, with a focus on a comfortable, quiet cabin, a more upscale feel, and two high-quality powertrain options. The next-gen Telluride builds on the formula that’s dominated the industry since its inception, and as it enters its next generation, it remains at the top of Car and Driver’s rankings. We’ll preview everything you need to know about the new Kia SUV, from the increased cargo space to the towing capacity. If you’d like to be among the first to get your hands on the 2027 Kia Telluride, visit Bob Moore Kia in OKC.

2027 Kia Telluride Powertrain and Performance

The new Telluride comes with your choice of a standard ICE engine or a hybrid powertrain. Base models come equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 274 horsepower. It routes power through an eight-speed automatic transmission, with your choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. While bigger than the outgoing generation, critics note that the Telluride still feels responsive and refined. The hybrid model keeps the same powertrain, but adds two electric motors, taking your horsepower from 274 to 329. It uses a six-speed automatic instead of the eight-speed, but still comes with either FWD or AWD. The Hybrid can tow up to 4,500 lbs, while the base model tows 5,000 lbs. We’re still waiting for confirmed MPG figures for both models, but Kia estimates 35 mpg combined for the hybrid Kia Telluride, while the base Telluride should get closer to 22 mpg combined. Test drive both Kia Tellurides to see which makes the most sense for you.

We won’t bore you by going through the minutia of each trim level, but there are a couple of standouts worth highlighting. We think the EX is likely to be a favorite starting point for many families, offering ventilated power front seats, SynTex materials in the cabin, power-folding sid view mirrors and a 2nd-row bench. If you prefer captain’s chairs in the 2nd row, many trim levels, including the Telluride S, are equipped with them. If you’re looking for a Telluride with some off-road chops, the X-Pro SX Prestige is trail-ready, offering 9.1 inches of ground clearance, recovery hooks, all-terrain tires, and an electronic limited-slip differential.
