RAM Truck Model Research Comparison | Bob Moore Auto Group
When you think of the RAM brand, the RAM 1500 is likely the first truck to spring to mind. While that’s been true for many years, RAM has started to diversify its lineup with new variants, including hybrid and all-electric pickup trucks. If you’re debating which RAM truck makes the most sense for your project, use our model research pages below to compare features, powertrains, and towing capacity!

RAM 1500
Of course, the RAM 1500 remains the brand’s best-selling pickup truck, and it’s easy to see why. It’s the most luxurious of the full-size pickup options, helping earn a perfect 10/10 from Car and Driver, plus rave reviews from everyday drivers. The RAM 1500 offers excellent features, power, configurations, and plenty of technology.

RAM 1500 RHO
Since the RAM 1500 has reached such critical acclaim, RAM has spun off a few variants. While the base 1500 is a workhorse, the RAM RHO is designed to offer off-road thrills. It comes with a hearty air suspension, all-terrain tires, and a twin-turbo V-6. It’s not all rough and tumble, though, packed with all the amenities you expect from a RAM truck.

RAM 1500 RAMCHARGER
The RAMCHARGER is a new entry into the RAM lineup, slated for release at the end of 2025. It’s a hybrid take on the classic RAM 1500 formula, but offers 145 miles of all-electric driving range before relying on the V-6 engine. The RAMCHARGER boasts nearly triple the range of any other hybrid truck currently available on the market.

RAM 1500 REV
The final 1500 spin-off is the RAM 1500 REV. It is set to release in 2026 in a single configuration: a crew cab with a short bed. The REV is just as potent as the gas 1500, too, offering 14,000 lbs of towing capacity, while offering an EV driving range of about 500 miles. The REV is more tech-forward as well, with plenty of display screens throughout the cabin.

RAM 2500
The RAM 2500 starts us on RAM’s heavy-duty pickup trucks, offering tremendous power for commercial and industrial uses. It’s a favorite on farms, construction sites, and oil fields across the nation. As you’d expect from a RAM truck, it’s not just a workhorse, flush with a range of comfort features and technology.

RAM 3500
The RAM 3500 is the most powerful pickup truck in RAM’s lineup, offering more towing capacity than you’ll need in most scenarios. It is packed with the power you need to single-handedly fuel any job site, carrying your heaviest equipment while still providing a range of features and technology in the cabin.

RAM Chassis Cab
While the RAM 2500 and 3500 can moonlight as a personal vehicle, you’ll probably only use the RAM chassis cab as a work truck. It comes in three flavors: the RAM 3500, 4500, or 5500. When you purchase a RAM Chassis Can with us, we’ll work with you and our upfitting partners to assist with building your custom work truck.

RAM PROMASTER
The RAM PROMASTER van is the only non-truck in our lineup, perfect for home visits, trades, and delivery functions. The PROMASTER is available with a gas or an all-electric powertrain, known as the RAM PROMASTER EV.
