In our opinion, the Subaru Crosstrek is the most attractive SUV in our lineup, boasting a traditional compact SUV body accentuated by roof rails and an aggressive stance. The Crosstrek is a perfect daily driver with sufficient off-road ability to make it a valuable asset on camping trips. In classic Subaru fashion, it’s practical and dependable, featuring Subaru’s standard AWD platform.
Subaru Forester
The Forester differentiates itself from the rest of Subaru’s SUV lineup by offering a more spacious, boxier cabin. Sure, it still slots into the compact SUV market, but the larger size blurs the line between a mid-size and compact SUV. The Forester is best suited for road trips, offering ample cargo space in the trunk and a spacious rear row.
Subaru Outback
Subaru’s Outback is still the most iconic silhouette the brand has to offer, sporting a longer, station-wagon-esque design that’s perfect for storing bulkier items, or even a mattress! We’d get one while you still can, as the Legacy has tons of technology for an everyday commuter. Of course, it gets all the other standard Subaru amenities you’ve come to expect over the years.
Subaru BRZ
You’ll be hard pressed to find a sportscar as fun and affordable as the Subaru BRZ. Its one of the only Subarus ever made that’s not AWD, instead opting for a RWD setup to provide an authentic sportscar experience. The two-door coupe is widely lauded for its thrilling handling and surprising practicality, making it a perfect choice for drivers looking for their first sportscar.
Subaru WRX
The WRX is Subaru’s other sports car. It doesn’t offer quite the same performance as the sleek BRZ, but it’s much more practical, thanks to its return to the AWD platform, which helps make it a rare four-season sports car. The WRX features a standard manual transmission and additional storage space, making it an excellent choice for daily driving between rally races.
Subaru Trailseeker
Subaru plans to unveil two brand-new EV SUVs in 2026, the first of which is the Subaru Trailseeker. As the name suggests, the Trailseeker is built to be the rare EV built for off-road thrills. We expect it to pack tons of horsepower, extra ground clearance, specialized off-road drive modes, and a 0 to 60 well under five seconds. Needless to say, we’re excited to get our hands on the new Subaru EV.
Subaru Uncharted
Subaru plans to release the Uncharted alongside the Trailseeker to open 2026. It will be smaller than the compact Subaru Solterra, making it the smallest Subaru EV in the lineup. We expect to see a couple of drivetrains and motor configurations on the new Subaru Uncharted, but it should serve as more of a highway cruiser than the off-road focused Trailseeker.
