OBI Blood Drive with Bob Moore Auto Group

For over 20 years, Bob Moore Auto Group has partnered with the Our Blood Institute (Formally known as Oklahoma Blood Institute) to help patients across the state of Oklahoma. This blood drive helps patients in Oklahoma from all walks of life, and it wouldn’t be possible without the help of other community members. Donations received from the blood drive are sent across the state from hospitals in Tulsa, Norman, OKC, and other rural areas. Every Donation Matters

Every liter drawn from donors in the OBI Blood Drive can be used for many causes. Donations can help patients dealing with cancer, a traumatic accident, chronic diseases such as sickle cell anemia, or a patient who has been burned. The more donations, the fewer nurses and doctors around the state have to worry about blood shortages. Help us prepare our nurses and doctors to help their patients by donating to the 2023 OBI Blood Drive.

The Benefit of Donating Blood

Donors will also receive a free check-up when they donate, as a physician must monitor their blood to ensure it’s safe to give to other patients. The physician handling the blood draw can quickly inform you if you have any blood-borne diseases or are suffering from some other illness. You’ll also receive a general check-up by taking your blood pressure and pulse. Although this isn’t a substitute for a doctor’s visit, it lets you tune in to what you need health-wise and can lead you to understand your body a little bit more.
