What you need to know before purchasing a used car
When you decide you want to purchase your next car and you find an awesome deal on a used car, there are a few steps to take before making the deal. We know that buying a used car can be risky, we want you to have a list of checkups to go through, so you get the quality in the car you are paying for.
Inspections you should make on your car:
Tire Inspections
- Check all four tires and examine them for wear down. If all four tires have a low amount of tread on them, that can mean new tires in the near future and an added cost for you.
- Ensure that all four tires do not have any cracks or cuts
Interior Inspection
- Look through all the seats to make sure they have no tears or rips
- Turn on the vehicle and check for any warning or repair lights
- Turn the AC on to make sure the cold air is coming through
- Turn the Heater on and check if warm air is being dispersed

Under the Hood
- Look for signs of rust and corrosion
- Check oil levels and the transmission fluids
- Inspect the belts for wear and tear
- Check the battery for any damage cables
- Ensure that you peek under the car and check for any leaking fluids
Test driving
- Check alignment and make sure the vehicle does not veer to one side
- Ensure that the steering wheel is stable with no shaking
- Listen for squeaky brakes
